Clinical efficacy of fire needle bloodletting in the treatment of Malassezia folliculitis
Objective To explore the therapeutic effect and mechanism of fire needle bloodletting therapy combined with self-made Chushi Xiaocuo decoction in the treatment of Malassezia folliculitis. Methods According to the criteria, the eligible cases were randomly selected and divided into a control group(treated with self-made Chushi Xiaocuo decoction)and a treatment group(treated with self-made Chushi Xiaocuo decoction combined with fire needle bloodletting). The symptoms and skin lesion scores, fungal examination, adverse reactions, and other indicators were recorded before and after treatment in both groups. Results After treatment, the marked effective rate of the treatment group was 88.89%,while the marked effective rate of the control group was 65.38%,with a significant difference between them(P<0.05).The self-conscious symptoms were significantly improved in the two groups(P<0.01),and there was a significant difference between the two groups(P<0.01).There was a significant difference in fungal clearance rate between the two groups(P<0.05).There were no significant local skin reactions or other possible adverse reactions in the two groups(P>0.05).Conclusion The combination of fire needle bloodletting and Chushi Xiaocuo decoction is effective in the treatment of Malassezia folliculitis, which can inhibit fungal infection, with no significant adverse reactions and a high safety. Its mechanism may be related to a decrease in local skin inflammation and an improvement in microcirculation.
