Textual research and application of bamboo horse riding moxibustion
The bamboo horse riding moxibustion method first appears in the Wei Ji Bao Shu of the Song Dynasty,which operates when a patient straddles on a bamboo horse and the acupoint is located and moxibustion is performed by combining the bamboo measurement method and the finger size method.This moxibustion method has a good therapeutic effect on surgical diseases such as carbuncle and gangrene.Selecting the acupoint located near the Back-Shu point,the therapy can not only promote qi and blood circulation,cool blood and regulate qi,but also improve human immunity together with the acute transient psychological stress reaction of patients when riding on bamboo horses.Moxibustion at this single point can not only be used to treat carbuncle and gangrene,but also be combined with other acupoints to treat different syndromes,and be used in combination with decoctions to consolidate its treatment effect.The method is simple in operation and can also have a better prognosis when it is combined with modern surgical treatment and antibiotic treatment.It is expected that it will become a critical acupoint for preoperative treatment and postoperative health care of carbuncle and gangrene.
