Animal models of postmenopausal osteoporosis(PMOP)combined with its syndromes have been widely used in TCM research,however,there exist various modelling methods and there is no unified evaluation criterion.From the clinical perspective of Chinese medicine and modern medicine,this paper makes a comparison in the selection of PMOP model animals,construction methods and the degree of conformity between model animals and clinical practice,and summarizes the construction and further improvement of the evaluation methods for PMOP animal models combined with the disease and its syndromes,in order to provide new ideas for the experimental research of PMOP.
