Sepsis,a critical illness,is caused by the systemic inflammatory response syndrome by infection,which may lead to multiple organ dysfunction.At present,its pathogenesis is believed to be extremely complex in traditional Chinese and western medicine,and the method of integrated Chinese and western medicine for treating sepsis has also gradually been studied and applied,which is one of the important development directions for its treatment.In view of this,this paper aims to make a review about the pathogenesis of sepsis and the research progress in its traditional Chinese and western medicine treatment.
