Gastroesophageal reflux disease features a high incidence in China,and it is a dominant disease treated by traditional Chinese medicine.From the perspective of"both vomiting and acid regurgitation manifested as a heat syndrome",this paper observes that the pathogenesis of this disease is characterized by depression,acid,heat and adverse qi,aiming to summarize Professor Xie Jingri's understanding of its etiology and pathogenesis and his clinical treatment characteristics.It is proposed that the occurrence of this disease be closely related to emotions,and its treatment start from the liver and stomach,mainly adopting methods such as soothing the liver and relieving depression,coordinating the liver and stomach to relieve depression and heat to alleviate acid,harmonizing the stomach for descending adverse qi,dredging fu organs and descending qi to promote qi circulation in middle jiao.At the same time,Xie Jingri pays attention to caring for both patients'physical conditions and emotions.His treatment methods prove to be effective and can be used for reference.
