Liu Minru's experience in the differentiation and treatment of the syndromes inducing premature cessation of menstrual fluid(ovarian hypofunction disease)
Ovarian hypofunction is a difficult and complicated gynecological disease.Professor Liu Minru,a master of traditional Chinese medicine,creates and supplements the corresponding name of a gynecological disease of traditional Chinese medicine--"syndromes inducing premature cessation of menstrual fluid",and treats them by stages.She believes that the pathogenesis of the disease lies in the kidney deficiency,stagnation of heart,liver and spleen.In her clinical diagnosis and treatment of the disease,the first step is to distinguish its stages,including the early stage that features deficiency of kidney qi and Tiangui;depletion of kidney qi and Tiangui;and its late stage that features the early exhaustion of Tiangui and menstrual fluid.Secondly,she differentiates syndromes based on yin,yang,qi and blood and the involved organs,e.g.,syndrome of stagnation of liver qi due to kidney yin deficiency,syndrome of impaired transportation of spleen yang due to kidney yang deficiency,syndrome of heart blood deficiency due to deficient kidney fluid,syndrome of marrow sea insufficiency due to deficiency of kidney essence.Her main treatment method is to balance yin and yang,replenish the kidney and essence,regulate the heart,liver and spleen,and adjust prescriptions according to specific syndromes to achieve a remarkable effect in clinical practice.A medical record is attached in this paper.
