In recent years,the clinical incidence of ulcerative colitis has been growing.Yet modern medicine has limited treatment methods for the disease,and there are many problems such as severe side effects and difficult to maintain the efficacy,etc.With its unique theoretical system and treatment mode,Chinese medicine possesses its unique advantages in treating this disease,which can effectively alter the treatment dilemma faced by modern medicine.As a famous prescription in Chinese medicine,the Bai Tou Weng decoction can achieve a remarkable efficacy in the clinical treatment of ulcerative colitis.Though widely used in the clinical treatment of ulcerative colitis,its specific treatment mechanism is still inconclusive.Therefore,a systematic discussion of the mechanisms of Bai Tou Weng decoction on the intestinal mucosal barrier of ulcerative colitis is conducive to better guiding its clinical diagnosis and treatment.
