This paper analyzes the articles in the Synopsis of Golden Chamber involving acupuncture and acupuncture-medicine combination,and summarizes the characteristics of Zhang Zhongjing's academic thought on the combination of acupuncture and medicine in the classic,forming a more comprehensive system of acupuncture-medicine differentiation and treatment.From the perspectives of"distinguishing yin and yang first before administering the treatment of acupuncture and medication","having a comprehensive analysis on both pulse manifestations and syndromes when differentiating a clinical selection of acupuncture and medication","combining various reasonable methods flexibly when choosing a proper therapy",and"applying a treatment of medicine or moxibustion when administering an acupuncture treatment by mistake",this paper analyzes the principles of combination of acupuncture and medication,hoping to provide some guidance and enlightenment for the clinical practice of acupuncture and moxibustion.
