The theory of circular movement in Chinese medicine proposes that human body stays vital by following the pectoral qi circular movement of yin and yang,in which earth in the five elements is situated in the center,while wood,fire,metal,and water are located in the four dimensions,with the earth qi as an axis and the four dimensions as a wheel.The metaphorical movement of the axis and the wheel in the theory explains the complex physiological and pathological basis of the human body,providing a new idea for the traditional Chinese medicine treatment and clinical medication of type 2diabetes.
