Objective To observe the effect of Xiaoqinglong plus Shigao Decoction in the treatment of bronchiectasis with the syndrome of phlegm-heat amassing in lungs.Methods A total of 112 bronchiectasis patients with the syndrome of phlegm-heat amassing in lungs treated in our hospital from May 2021 to March 2023 were selected as the study subjects,and were divided into an observation group and a control group using a random number table method,with 56 cases in each group.The control group received a conventional western medicine treatment,while the observation group was treated with Xiaoqinglong plus Shigao Decoction combined with the western medicine treatment.The TCM syndrome scores,therapeutic effect,inflammation indexes,respiratory function and occurrence of adverse reactions were compared between the two groups.Results After treatment,the TCM syndrome scores were lower in the observation group than those in the control group(P<0.05).The levels of FEV1,FVC,PEF,and FEV1/FVC were higher in the observation group than those in the control group(P<0.05).The levels of CRP,PCT and IL-1β were lower in the observation group than those in the control group(P<0.05).The total effective rate of the observation group(91.07%,51/56)was higher than that of the control group(71.43%,40/56)(P<0.05).There was no statistically significant difference in the incidence of adverse reactions between the two groups(P>0.05).Conclusion Xiaoqinglong plus Shigao Decoction combined with the conventional western medicine treatment can effectively improve the inflammation indexes and respiratory function of bronchiectasis patients with the syndrome of phlegm-heat amassing in lungs,reduce their TCM syndrome scores,and improve therapeutic effect,which is worthy of promotion.
