Clinical study of Chaihu Longgu Muli decoction in treating acute cholecystitis
Objective To observe the effect of Chaihu Longgu Muli decoction in the treatment of acute cholecystitis. Methods A total of 102 patients with acute cholecystitis due to the syndrome of heat stagnation in gallbladder-fu in our hospital from January 2020 to January 2023 were selected and divided into a control group(n=51)and a traditional Chinese medicine(TCM)group(n=51)by the random number table method. The control group was given intravenous drip injections of ceftazidime and ornidazole sodium chloride, combined with oral levofloxacin tablets, while the TCM group was given Chaihu Longgu Muli decoction by oral administration on that basis. The TCM syndrome scores, serum inflammatory factor levels, immune function, clinical efficacy, and adverse reactions were observed in the two groups. Results After treatment, the TCM syndrome score and the levels of intercellular adhesion molecule-1(ICAM-1),myeloperoxidase(MPO),and C-reactive protein(CRP)in the TCM group were lower than those in the control group(P<0.05).After treatment, the levels of immunoglobulin A(IgA),immunoglobulin G(IgG),immunoglobulin M(IgM),and the total effective rate in the TCM group were higher than those in the control group(P<0.05).There was no statistically significant difference in the total incidence of adverse reactions between the two groups(P>0.05).Conclusion In the treatment of patients with acute cholecystitis,Chaihu Longgu Muli decoction can effectively alleviate their clinical symptoms, reduce inflammatory reaction, improve their immune function, having a higher safety.
