Professor Zhao Yan's experience in the treatment of climacteric syndrome based on the concept of unity of the body and spirit
The concept of unity of the body and spirit is an important part of holism of traditional Chinese medicine,and is of important guiding significance in the clinical diagnosis,treatment and prognosis of climacteric syndrome.From the perspective of holism,Professor Zhao Yan believes that the syndrome is characterized by comorbidity of the body and spirit,pointing out that"deficiency of five zang-viscera"and"qi stagnation,blood stasis,phlegm blockade,and fire stagnation"are its key pathogenesis,and proposing adopting the treatment principles of tonifying deficiency and relieving depression,and harmonizing the body and spirit.Deficiency and excess should be treated with a combination of internal and external practices throughout the entire treatment process.This article summarizes Zhao Yan's understanding and experience in the diagnosis and treatment of climacteric syndrome,in order to expand the clinical diagnosis and treatment of this disease in traditional Chinese medicine.
