Curative effect of Huangqi Jianzhong Decoction combined with Nuanwei Decoction in the treatment of acute gastroenteritis in children with the syndrome of deficient cold of spleen and stomach
Objective To observe the curative effect of Huangqi Jianzhong Decoction combined with Nuanwei Decoction in the treatment of acute gastroenteritis in children with the syndrome of deficient cold of spleen and stomach.Methods A total of 74 acute gastroenteritis children with the syndrome of deficient cold of spleen and stomach admitted to our hospital from February 2021 to May 2023 were selected and divided into a study group(n=37)and a control group(n=37)by random number table method.The two groups both received a symptomatic treatment,while the control group was treated with omeprazole enteric-coated capsules on the basis of that,and the study group was treated with Huangqi Jianzhong Decoction combined with Nuanwei Decoction on the basis of the control group,both for 14 days.The TCM syndrome scores,recovery time,clinical efficacy,inflammatory responses,gastrointestinal hormones and adverse reactions were compared between the two groups.Results After treatment,the main symptom scores,secondary symptom scores and total scores were significantly decreased in the two groups(P＜0.05),and the decreases were more obvious in the study group(P＜0.05).The symptom recovery time of fever,abdominal pain,vomiting and diarrhea was shorter in the study group than in the control group(P＜0.05).The total effective rate was higher in the study group than that in the control group(P＜0.05).After treatment,the levels of interleukin-17(IL-17),matrix metalloproteinase-3(MMP-3),neutrophil-lymphocyte ratio(NLR)were significantly decreased in both groups(P＜0.05),and they were more significantly decreased in the study group(P＜0.05).After treatment,the level of gastrin(GSA)was significantly decreased in the two groups(P＜0.05),and the decrease was more significant in the study group(P＜0.05).After treatment,the level of motilin(MTL)was significantly increased in the two groups(P＜0.05),and the increase was more significant in the study group(P＜0.05).There was no difference in the total incidence of adverse reactions between the two groups(P＞0.05).Conclusion Huangqi Jianzhong Decoction combined with Nuanwei Decoction is effective in the treatment of acute gastroenteritis in children with the syndrome of deficient cold of spleen and stomach,which can improve their clinical symptoms and gastrointestinal function,promote their recovery,reduce inflammatory reactions,and is safe and reliable.
