Clinical observation on the treatment of hypostatic pneumonia by applying the warming lung and dispelling blood stasis formula based on the theory of warming and dissipating phlegm and fluid retention
Objective To evaluate the efficacy of the formula for warming the lung and dispelling blood stasis in resolving sputum in patients with hypostatic pneumonia based on the theory of warming and dissipating phlegm and fluid retention. Methods A total of 120 patients with hypostatic pneumonia meeting the inclusion criteria were selected, including 63 patients in the treatment group and 57 patients in the control group. The treatment group was given a western medicine comprehensive treatment plus the warming lung and removing blood stasis formula, while the control group was given a western medicine comprehensive treatment plus the warming lung and removing blood stasis formula mock-up,and MUC5AC,coughing sputum ease scale and TCM syndrome scores were used as observation indexes for their efficacy assessment. Results MUC5AC,coughing sputum ease scale scores and TCM syndrome scores showed a downward trend in both groups after treatment, significantly lower than before treatment(P<0.01).Compared with those in the control group, the above indicators were significantly lower in the treatment group(P<0.05).No adverse reactions occurred in the two groups. Conclusion The combination of the western medicine comprehensive treatment with the formula for warming the lung and removing blood stasis can better improve the difficulty in expectoration in patients with hypostatic pneumonia, relieve their clinical symptoms, promote their rehabilitation, with a good safety and high clinical application value.
