Insomnia is a common clinical disease,with its pathogenesis featuring disharmony between yin and yang,nutrient phase and defense phase,zang and fu viscera.Massage for clearing channels and regulating viscera by the Changbaishan medicine school,after several generations'inheritance and development,has achieved a good clinical effect in the treatment of insomnia.Its principle is that the massage manipulations can enable qi ascend and descend orderly in the spleen and stomach,harmonize the zang and fu viscera,smooth the qi movement,promote the circular flow of yin and yang,nutrient qi and defensive qi,and qi and blood.Under such a circumstance,yin and yang may get intersected,nutrient qi and defensive qi may get harmonized,with the body resting in a state of harmonious qi and calm mind.Based on Huang Yuanyu's theory of"earth acting as the pivot of Sixiang,primordial qi flowing around the body",this paper expounds the theoretical basis of massage for clearing channels and regulating viscera by the Changbaishan medicine school in its treatment of insomnia.And a case is attached to the elaboration as evidence.
