Hashimoto thyroiditis(HT)is a common autoimmune disease in clinic,and improving intestinal flora is a research hotspot in its treatment.Spleen deficiency is the core pathogenesis of HT,hence strengthening the spleen and clearing the fu viscera is an effective method for treating the disease.The spleen and intestinal flora are closely related in their physiological and pathological aspects,and there is a certain correlation between strengthening the spleen and dredging the fu organs and improving the functions of intestinal flora.The drugs for invigorating the spleen and dredging the fu organs can reshape the immune balance of the intestinal microenvironment by promoting gastrointestinal peristalsis,improving immune indicators,restoring the immune cell balance,etc.It is speculated that improving intestinal flora may be one of the mechanisms of invigorating the spleen and dredging the fu viscera in treating Hashimoto thyroiditis.
