Effects of Gancao Xiexin Decoction on patients with acute organophosphorus poisoning and a syndrome of pathogens bound in stomach and intestine
Objective To observe the effects of Gancao Xiexin Decoction on patients with acute organophosphorus poisoning with the pathogens bound in stomach-intestine pattern.Methods Eighty patients with acute organophosphorus poisoning with the pathogens bound in stomach-intestine pattern,treated at Bozhou Traditional Chinese Medicine Hospital,were selected as subjects for the study and divided into a control group and an observation group by the random number table method,with 40 cases in each group.The control group was given a conventional western medicine symptomatic treatment,while the observation group received a treatment with Gancao Xiexin Decoction on the basis of the control group.The levels of tumor necrosis factor-α(TNF-α),diamine oxidase(DAO)and interleukin 1β(IL-1β),troponin(cTnI),D-lactate(D-LA),citrulline,myoglobin(MYO),oxophosphatase 1(PON1),malondialdehyde(MDA),superoxide dismutase(SOD),total bilirubin(TBil)and alanine aminotransferase(ALT)were evaluated in the two groups before and after treatment.The TCM syndrome scores were compared between the two groups before and after treatment,and the patients'recovery time and cholinesterase recovery time were recorded.The clinical efficacy and incidence of complications were compared between the two groups.Results After treatment,the contents of IL-1β,TNF-α,MD,cTnI,MYO,TBil,ALTA,DAO,D-LA,the TCM syndrome scores were lower in the observation group than those in the control group(P<0.05),while the contents of SOD,PON1,citrulline were higher than those in the control group(P<0.05).After treatment,the recovery time and the cholinesterase recovery time were shorter than those in the control group(P<0.05).After treatment,the total effective rate of the observation group(97.50%,39/40)was higher than that of the control group(87.50%,35/40)(P<0.05).After treatment,the total incidence of complications in the observation group was lower than that in the control group(P<0.05).Conclusion In the treatment of patients with acute organophosphorus poisoning and a syndrome of pathogens bound in the stomach and intestine,Gancao Xiexin Decoction can inhibit inflammation,reduce oxidative stress,liver function injury and myocardial damage,protect gastrointestinal mucosa,improve curative effect and reduce complications.
