Determination of baicalin in Yishen Paishi granules by HPLC
Objective To establish an HPLC method for the determination of baicalin in Yishen Paishi granules,and to provide a scientific and reliable basis for the quality control of the medicine.Methods High performance liquid chromatography(HPLC)was performed on Shimadzu ODS-2C18 column(250 mm×4.6 mm,5 μm),with its mobile phase as a gradient elution of 0.2%phosphoric acid water(A)-methanol(B),with its flow rate at 1.0 mL/min,its column temperature at 30℃,its detection wavelength at 280 nm,and its sample size all at 10 μL.Results The linear relationship between the peak area and the concentration of baicalin was good,r=1.000 0.Its precision and stability met the requirements.Its average recovery was 103.29%and RSD was 2.38%.The average content of baicalin in the three batches of samples was 6.12 mg/g,and the RSD value was 1.71%.Conclusion The method has a good repeatability and a high accuracy,and can be used for the determination of baicalin in compound Yishen Paishi granules.
