Study on the therapeutic effect of the"twelve needles for hands and feet"acupuncture technique in the treatment of spastic hemiplegia caused by cerebral infarction
Objective To explore the clinical effect of the combination of the"twelve needles for hands and feet"acupuncture technique and the new Bobath technique in the treatment of spastic hemiplegia during the recovery period of cerebral infarction. Methods A total of 90 patients with spastic hemiplegia during their recovery period of cerebral infarction were randomly divided into two groups:an observation group and a control group, with 45 cases in each group. Both groups were treated with the new Bobath technique, while the observation group was additionally treated with the"twelve needles for hands and feet"acupuncture technique. The changes in their traditional Chinese medicine syndrome scores, various scale scores, limb motor function scores, indicators of serum glutamate and γ-amino acid were compared before and after treatment in the two groups, and the total effective rate of treatment and safety were observed in the two groups. Results After treatment, the scores of various traditional Chinese medicine syndromes,MAS scores,CSS scores, and glutamic acid indicators were lower in the observation group than those in the control group(P<0.05),while the upper and lower limb motor function scores, the Barthel scores,SF-36 scores,γ-amino acid levels and total effective rate of treatment were higher in the observation group than those in the control group(P<0.05).Neither group experienced any adverse treatment events. Conclusion The combination of the"twelve needles for hands and feet"acupuncture technique and the new Bobath technique can regulate the expression of serum glutamate and γ-amino acid, reduce the degree of limb spasms, improve the limb motor function, and improve the daily living ability and quality of life of patients.
