Origins and modern connotation of treating diarrhea from kidney
Diarrhea is a common clinical disease, and doctors have often treated it based on the spleen in the past generations. However,it is known that the kidney,as the congenital origin of life, and the root of five-zang and six-fu viscera,is closely related to the generation and excretion of feces, hence related to diarrhea as well.By reviewing ancient literature from various dynasties, this paper clarifies the theoretical sources and development process of treating diarrhea from the perspective of the kidney, exploring the etiology, pathogenesis and syndrome differentiation and treatment of the disease. In addition, the study makes a preliminary summary of modern research on the correlation between the kidneys and intestines to elucidate the scientific connotation of treating diarrhea from the perspective of the kidney.
