Laws of acupoint temperature change in CHF patients with the syndrome of blood stasis due to qi deficiency after treatment with Baoyuan Decoction and Xuefu Zhuyu Decoction
Objective To explore the curative effect of Baoyuan Decoction combined with Xuefu Zhuyu Decoction and the laws of acupoint temperature change in patients with chronic heart failure(CHF)of the syndrome of blood stasis due to qi deficiency.Methods A total of 31 patients with CHF treated with Baoyuan Decoction combined with Xuefu Zhuyu Decoction in Dongguan Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine between December 2020 and December 2021 were enrolled in the study.Before and after treatment,the level of N-terminal pro brain natriuretic peptide(NT-ProBNP),echocardiogram indexes[left ventricular end-diastolic diameter(LVEDd),left ventricular ejection fraction(LVEF)],changes of 24h temperature at Danzhong acupoint and Fuyang acupoint(average temperature,diurnal temperature)were compared.Results After treatment,the level of BNP was decreased(P<0.05).After treatment,the LVEDd parameter value of echocardiography was decreased,while the LVEF value was increased(P<0.05).After treatment,the 24h average temperatures of Danzhong acupoint and Fuyang acupoint were increased(P<0.05).Conclusion The temperatures of different acupoints at the proximal and distal ends are different in CHF patients with the syndrome of blood stasis due to qi deficiency,and the acupoint temperatures are also different in patients with different cardiac functions.The changes in acupoint temperature can evaluate the changes of heart failure and medication effect.
