Clinical study on the treatment of pulmonary fibrosis with Zhuyang Bufei Chubi Granules based on the Notch pathway expression
Objective To observe the effects of Zhuyang Bufei Chubi Granules on the improvement of symptoms in pulmonary fibrosis patients with the syndrome of lung and kidney deficiency,and the syndrome of cold-stasis blocking collaterals,as well as the expression of major inflammatory factors and Notch pathway related indicators in the blood of patients before and after treatment.Methods Eighty pulmonary fibrosis patients with the syndrome of lung and kidney deficiency,and the syndrome of cold-stasis blocking collaterals were selected for the study and randomly divided into an experimental group and a control group,with 40 cases in each group.The experimental group received a basic treatment plus Zhuyang Bufei Chubi Granules,while the control group received a basic treatment plus Bailing Capsules.Both groups were treated for 6 weeks.The scores of dyspnea degree,lung function,and blood gas analysis were counted in the two groups before and after treatment,and the serum samples were collected in the two groups before and after treatment for relevant indicators testing.Results The total effective rate of the experimental group with Zhuyang Bufei Chubi Granules is higher than that of the control group with Bailing Capsules.After one course of treatment,the clinical symptoms,lung function,and blood gas analysis improved in both groups compared to before medication.After treatment,the expression of TGF-β1 and TNF-α in the patients'serum was decreased,and the expression of Notch 1,Jagged 1,and Hes 1 as the main indicators of the Notch pathway was decreased,while the expression of RBP-Jκ was increased.The total effective rate was 75%in the experimental group,while the total effective rate was 55%in the control group.Conclusion Zhuyang Bufei Chubi Granules can improve the clinical symptoms in pulmonary fibrosis patients with the syndrome of lung and kidney deficiency,and the syndrome of cold-stasis blocking collaterals,relieve the degree of dyspnea,intervene in lung function and blood gas analysis,reduce the expression of TGF-β1 and TNF-α in the patients'serum,and regulate the expression of Notch 1,Jagged 1,RBP-Jκ,and Hes 1.
