Clinical effect of modified Jingfang prescription combined with cetirizine in the treatment of chronic urticaria
Objective To observe the effect of modified Jingfang prescription combined with cetirizine in the treatment of chronic urticaria(CU).Methods A total of 114 patients with chronic urticaria admitted to our hospital were divided into two groups by the random number table method,with 57 cases in each group.The control group was treated with cetirizine,while the observation group was treated with the modified Jingfang prescription on the basis of cetirizine,both for 4 weeks.The efficacy,adverse reactions and recurrence rates of the two groups were analyzed,the levels of chemokines and immune balance indexes of the two groups were detected,and the differences in UAS scores,urticaria symptom scores,TCM syndrome scores,UCT scores and DLQI scores were compared between the two groups.Results The total effective rate of the observation group was higher than that of the control group,and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).After treatment,the levels of Eotaxin-1,TNF-α,IL-2,RANTES,IL-4,PARC/CCL-18,IL-13,Eotaxin-3 and IL-33 were lower in both groups than before treatment,while the level of IFN-γ was higher than before treatment,and the level of IFN-γ was much higher in the observation group than that in the control group,while the other indexes were much lower than those of the control group(P<0.05).After treatment,the UCT scores of the two groups were higher than before treatment,while the TCM syndrome scores,DLQI scores,UAS scores,and urticaria symptom scores were lower than before treatment,and the UCT scores were higher in the observation group than those in the cetirizine group,while the other scores were lower than those in the control group(P<0.05).There was no significant difference in the adverse reaction rate between the control group and the observation group(P>0.05),while there was a significant difference in the recurrence rate between the two groups(P<0.05).Conclusion Treating chronic urticaria with modified Jingfang prescription combined with cetirizine can alleviate the symptoms of urticaria,which may be related to regulating chemokines and promoting Th1/Th2 immune balance.
