The core of the concept of"promoting qi circulation for dispelling dampness"lies in accelerating and smoothening qi flow throughout the entire body to transport water and fluids.Based on this concept,this paper explores the syndrome differentiation and treatment of benign prostatic hyperplasia,arguing that the smooth and unimpeded qi movement is the basis for promoting urination,while dampness and turbidity often lead to qi stagnation and retention,so it is necessary to circle qi throughout the body in order to promote urination and diuresis.In clinical practice,benign prostatic hyperplasia is usually treated by applying the methods of dispersing qi for promote diuresis,regulating qi for dispelling dampness,resolving dampness with aromatics,benefiting qi for transporting dampness,in a bid to robust qi movement and remove dampness pathogen.At the same time,attention should be paid to protecting the spleen,stomach and body fluids,which will help improve the symptoms of lower urinary tract.
