Clinical study of Yuhuang Shengji Powder applied on wound healing after anal fistula operation
Objective To explore the effect of external application of Yuhuang Shengji Powder on wound healing after anal fistula operation and the influence on the serum levels of vascular endothelial growth factor(VEGF),transforming growth factor β1(TGF-β1)and tumor necrosis factor-α(TNF-α)in patients.Methods Seventy patients with anal fistula who were hospitalized in the Nanjing Hospital of Chinese Medicine from September 2022 to September 2023 were selected as the study subjects,and were divided into two groups by random number table method,with 35 cases in each group.Group A received a routine postoperative care and was given vaseline gauze dressing change,while Group B was given external application of Yuhuang Shengji Powder on the basis of Group A.The effect of wound healing and the levels of serum VEGF,TGF-β1 and TNF-α were compared before and after intervention between the two groups.Results The total effective rate of Group B was higher than Group A after 14 days of treatment(94.29%vs 74.29%,P<0.05).The wound healing time of Group B was significantly shorter than that of Group A(P<0.05).Compared with before treatment,the wound exudation,granulation growth and VAS scores of both groups decreased after 14 days of treatment,and the above scores of Group B were significantly lower compared with those in Group A(P<0.05).After 14 days of treatment,the serum levels of VEGF and TGF-β1 in the two groups were increased,while TNF-α was decreased,and the changes of VEGF,TGF-β1 and TNF-α in Group B were greater than those in Group A(P<0.05).Conclusion External application of Yuhuang Shengji Powder can effectively improve the curative effect of postoperative wound healing in patients with anal fistula,reduce the level of inflammation,promote the growth of blood vessels,and promote wound healing.
