Curative effect of warming-yang acupuncture combined with electropuncture neuro-facilitation in the treatment of upper limb hemiplegia after ischemic stroke
Objective To explore the curative effect of warming-yang acupuncture combined with electropuncture neuro-facilitation in the treatment of upper limb hemiplegia after ischemic stroke. Methods A retrospective analysis was performed on the clinical data of 88 patients with upper limb hemiplegia after ischemic stroke in the hospital between January 2022 and January 2024.According to different treatment methods, patients were divided into a combination group(47 cases,warming-yang acupuncture combined with electropuncture neuro-facilitation)and a warming-yang acupuncture group(41 cases,warming-yang acupuncture). All the patients were treated for 4 weeks. The curative effect, scores of TCM syndromes, motor function of upper extremity[Fugl-Meyer assessment of upper extremity(FMA-UE),Wolf Motor Function Test(WMFT)],spasm degree[Modified Ashworth Scale(MAS)]and the incidence of adverse reactions were compared between the two groups. Results The response rate of treatment in the combination group was higher than that in the warming-yang acupuncture group(95.74%vs 80.49%,P<0.05),while the scores of TCM syndromes were lower than those in the warming-yang acupuncture group(P<0.05),and the scores of FMA-UE and WMFT were higher than those in the warming-yang acupuncture group(P<0.05),and the MAS grading was lower than that in the warming-yang acupuncture group(P<0.05).There was no significant difference in the incidence of adverse reactions between the two groups(P>0.05).Conclusion Warming-yang acupuncture combined with electropuncture neuro-facilitation can effectively improve clinical symptoms, enhance motor function of upper extremity and relieve limb spasm in patients with upper limb hemiplegia after ischemic stroke.
