Malaysia is one of the countries in the world where the pandemic was serious.The epidemic brought the develop-ment of overseas Chinese dance in Malaysia into an unprecedented predicament.The paper conducts an empirical study of the o-verseas Chinese dancers in Malaysia during the pandemic.It is found that they were less paid,took more part-time jobs,worked irregularly,and were less satisfied,and that the dance industry was at its valley,with a gloomy prospect.To help the develop-ment of overseas Chinese dance in the post-pandemic Malaysia and to facilitate the study of overseas Chinese dance involve estab-lishing fair policies and systems for overseas Chinese dance,providing it with reasonable allocation of economic resources,and constructing a harmonious cultural environment.
