Optimization of Process Parameters for Stamping Forming Aluminum Alloy Enclosures Based on Response Surface Method
To reduce the spring back defect of stamping aluminum alloy sheet,a laptop enclosure was used as an object and geometric models of the sheet metal and dies are constructed using Creo Parametric soft-ware.A simulation model is established using LS-DYNA finite element software and response surface experi-ments for blank holder force, die clearance, and stamping speed are designed using Quantum XL software which leads to the development of quadratic regression models for two responses:the maximum spring back and the angular deviation of the given section contour. The optimal parameter combination is determined as a blank holder force of 11kN,die clearance of 0.7mm,and stamping speed of 1000 mm/s.
