Application of Bit-Expanded Anchor Cable in Chengdu Expansive Soil Deep Foundation Pit Support
Due to the particularity of expansive soil in Chengdu,ordinary anchor cables used in deep foundation pit support are likely to fail and hardly effective,allowing limited design schemes for the foundation pit support.This paper has comparatively analyzed the characteristics of ordinary and bit-expanded anchor cables,and has then shown that the soldier pile wall and the bit-expanded anchor cables can be effectively applied as the support of,for example,Chengdu expansive soil deep foundation pit.The advantages of such anchor cables are summarized in this document according to the implemen-tation effects to provide a reference for similar work in the future.
