Study on the Effect of Electroplating Temperature on Chromium Plating on Steel Plates
The traditional two-step chromium electroplating process requires a generally high plating solution temperature, which needs to be controlled between 50℃ and 60℃.High temperature e-lectroplating brings many adverse effects. In response to this issue, this article studied the influence of different temperatures on the two-step chromium electroplating effect, developed a precise temperature controlled hexavalent chromium electroplating technology, and controlled the temperature at 45℃~48℃.The research results showed that the lower the temperature, the higher the current efficiency. That is,under the same thickness of the chromium plating layer, the required electroplating current is reduced, achieving energy conservation and consumption reduction, reducing electroplating costs,im-proving production efficiency, reducing chromium wastewater discharge.
