A Digital Baseband Transmission System With Improved Variable-step-size LMS Algorithm Based on Particle Swarm Optimization
In order to reduce inter-symbol crosstalk in digital baseband transmission systems, the least mean square algorithm adaptive filtering is currently mainly used. However, since parameters such as filter order and step size need to be determined based on experience or repeated experiments, the most suitable values can be determined. There may be situations where a system only performs better under certain circumstances. To this end, this article first proposes an improved variable step least mean square algorithm based on particle swarm optimization by applying the particle swarm optimization algo-rithm to the improved variable step least mean square algorithm.Based on this,a digital baseband transmission system using an improved variable-step minimum mean square algorithm based on parti-cle swarm optimization was designed. The algorithm can adaptively change the filter order and step size according to specific conditions, allowing the system to operate in any noisy environment.Appropriate filter orders and step sizes are used to reduce the bit error rate, obtain better performance and a wider range of applicable environments.
