Comparison of the Two Methods for Determining the Active Ingredients in Compound Sulfamethoxazole Tablets
Comparison of sulfamethoxazole(SMZ)and trimethoprim(TMP)in compound sulfa-methoxazole tablets by double wavelength spectrophotometry using standard curve and single point methods.The results showed a good linear relationship between the concentration of the standard curve method and the absorption difference,and the average recovery and RSD of the two tested components were SMZ 99.59％and 0.83％,TMP 99.30％and 0.15％.The recovery of SMZ was 93.58％and 99.08％for TMP.Both methods showed better recovery rate,higher accuracy of standard curve method and easier operation of single point method,which can be used as a reference method for quality control of this tablet.
