科普宁在认识论基础上提出马克思主义哲学是理论和实践的统一的哲学；坚持辩证法具有本体论、认识论和逻辑的功能；正确分析了哲学同政治、科学的关系。科普宁哲学思想贯穿的一条主线就是理论和实践相结合，并在此基础上正确理解哲学的目的任务、实质，这对今天我们理解马克思主义哲学同样具有重大意义。
