On Confucius's Shaping and Practice of the"spirit of morality"
As an ancient Chinese intellectual class,the"scholars"have a history of more than 2,500 years since their rise,and their continuation to this day is precisely due to the noble"spirit of scholars"unique to the scholars.Confucius played a pivotal role in shaping the"spirit of morality",mainly endowing it with a sense of commitment,awe,distress and responsibility,and practiced the"spirit of morality"from three aspects:ideal pursuit,academic accomplishment and political practice.Confucius's exposition and practice of the"spirit of scholars"not only had a far-reaching impact on the formation of the personality of ancient intellectuals,but also had important reference and enlightenment significance for the cultivation and practice of the core values of socialism to-day.
