Digital Finance and High-quality Economic Development:Two-way Empowerment or One-way drive——Based on Spatio-temporal Interaction Perspective
This paper takes 30 provinces in China as the research object,applies the coupling coordination degree model to investigate the spatio-temporal evolution characteristics of the coupling coordination between digital finance and economic high-quality development,and constructs a spatial equation model to study the interaction between digi-tal finance and economic high-quality development after portraying the typical facts of mutual influence and interaction between the two.It is found that there is a coupled and coordinated relationship between digital finance and high-quality economic development,and the coupled and coordinated degree of the two shows a stable upward trend in the chrono-logical evolution,and exhibits inter-regional variability and convergence,but there is still a large space for enhance-ment;the spatial evolution exhibits the obvious characteristic of"from dispersion to aggregation".Within the local com-munity,digital finance and high-quality economic development have formed a virtuous cycle of two-way empower-ment,and there is an intensity difference of"central＞western＞eastern"in the empowerment of digital finance for high-quality economic development,and the quality-enhancing effect of digital finance for high-quality economic de-velopment is significantly higher than the incremental effect.Within the neighborhood,there exists only a one-way driving effect of digital finance on the high-quality development of the economy,and a two-way empowerment has not yet been realized.
