Corporate ESG Practices for High-Quality Economic Development in the Digital Era:Mechanisms and Paths
Based on the background of the implementation of Chinese-style modernization,the exploration of the transformation and upgrading of the operation of microeconomic entities by adhering to the essence of socialism with Chinese characteristics,the inclusion of the acquisition of people's happiness in the scope of the quality of economic development,the introduction of the self-regulatory and communal qualities of actors,and the analysis of the motives and aspirations of the practice of ESG.It is found that,firstly,the transformation and upgrading of enterprise opera-tion and production with the primary purpose of conforming to the development trend of the times will lead to the con-vergence of the concepts and methods of governance among all economic entities,and the whole society's concern for the environment and respect for and emphasis on the value of human beings will promote the practice of enterprise ESG.Secondly,out of self-interest,companies will also promote their own ESG practices and performance as a result of striving for and enjoying greater technological and digital dividends.Thirdly,the basic cognition of maintaining consis-tency with the direction of national development will prompt enterprises to continuously engage in creative and forward-looking practices,so that the direction of production and operation will be more in line with the general interests of members of the community,which will in turn lead to greater social acceptance.In the future,we can improve the leading measures from the government level based on system construction,increase green R&D and innovation from the enterprise level based on strategic planning,and improve individual satisfaction from the employee level based on social responsibility,so as to jointly promote the orderly,full and dynamic development of enterprise ESG practice and actively take the road of high-quality development.
