Measuring the Level of New Quality Productivity in China and Its Im-pact Effect on High Quality Economic Development
According to the theoretical connotation of new quality productivity,this paper constructs a compre-hensive evaluation index system of new quality productivity from two dimensions,entity and permeability,measures the level of China's new quality productivity with the help of provincial panel data from 2012 to 2022,and further ex-plores the impact of new quality productivity on the high-quality development of the economy.The study shows that,in terms of time-series evolution,the overall level of China's new quality productivity and the sub-development levels of its constituent elements have shown a steady upward trend;in terms of spatial distribution,there is variability in the level of development of NPPs in China's four major regions,but the gap is narrowing;in terms of causality,new quali-ty productivity can significantly contribute to high-quality economic development,and the conclusion still holds after dealing with endogeneity issues.In addition,the estimation results of the spatial Durbin Model show that there is not only a direct contribution of new quality productivity to high-quality economic development,but also a significant spa-tial spillover effect.
