Civilization is a progressive state of human life.In the pursuit of modernization,the Chinese people have made two miraculous achievements under the leadership of the Communist Party of China:embarking on a Chinese-style path to modernization and creating a new form of human civilization.The whole-process people's democracy is a form of democratic politics proposed and developed against the historical background of Chinese modernization to meet the needs of the development of Chinese political modernization and the overall progress of Chinese modernization.Grounding our judgment on the new era,we should understand and define the achievements China has made and will make in its development from the height of civilization,and it is more urgent to be confident and independent regarding political civilization.Through analyzing the theoretical and practical innovation of the whole-process people's democracy,we find that its emergence is of profound historical inevitability.Its adherence to the guidance of the Marxist concept of democracy,its persistence in the fundamental nature of socialist democracy in the practice of modernization and its unswerving pursuit of the goal of"the people being masters of the country"have created a new democratic political form characteristic of marked scientific nature,practicality,for-the-people nature,and openness.It has transcended capitalist democracy,and has advanced and guided the progress of human political life.If the Chinese-style modernization has created and is still creating a new form of people's civilization,the whole-process people's democracy,which represents the Chinese-style political modernization,has also created and is still creating a new form of human political civilization.
