Nowadays the United States and other western countries launch increasingly varied ideological attacks towards China by framing vocabulary traps in China-related issues at the levels of mutual interpretation of wording,academic exchanges and political interaction.Such traps mainly take forms of loanword"traps",western academic"traps"and"traps"in western discourses of hegemony,characteristic of concealment,incitement and propaganda.In essence,these traps represent"forced penetration"of their soft cultural power,"forced radiation"of their academic dissemination and"forced expansion"of their political influence.Therefore,it is necessary to let the world hear China's voice and to show a real image of China.Meanwhile,cultural security awareness should be strengthened,mutual interpretation of wording enhanced,academic self-confidence cultivated,academic exchanges well conducted,and the overall capability in international publicity promoted.In final analysis,comprehensive measures should be taken to find root solutions to the problems of vocabulary traps in China-related issues framed by the United States and other western countries.
