释《汉语大字典》疑难字三则

摘要
《汉语大字典·火部》"炗"同"光".许慎误将表分叉燕尾"(火)"认火,释"光"为"明也.从火在人上,光明意也."非.应释为戴有燕尾冠之燕氏人,属姞姓光国.《汉语大字典·儿部》"光"释条应予增加或适当修改;《汉语大字典·皮部》释"(皮)"同"羆","熊的一种,俗称人熊或马熊,毛通常呈褐色,能爬树,会游泳"释义不准,或有误.应释义为古代一种似熊的兽.体型小,首似牛首,角似牛角,身形似蜥蜴,能爬树,会游泳;《汉语大字典·鬼部》:"(鬼),鬼也."释义不清.应释义为"(鬼)"本义鬼也,即做梦的巫觋.做梦以占卜吉凶,驱疫避害.
Abstract
"The'Huo(火)'section of the'Grand Chinese Dictionary'"mistakenly identifies the character"guang(光light)"as"ming"(明bright),originating from"fire above a person".This interpretation is incorrect.It should represent the Yan people wearing a swallow-tailed crown,belonging to the Ji surname and Guang country."The'Er(儿)'section of the'Grand Chinese Dictionary'"for"guang(光)"requires additional modification."The Pi(皮)'section of the'Grand Chinese Dictionary'"'s explanation of"xiong(羆)"as"a type of bear,colloquially known as human bear or horse bear,usually brown,able to climb trees and swim,"is inaccurate.It should denote an ancient bear-like creature,smaller in size,with a bovine head and horns,and a lizard-like body.In"The'Gui(鬼)'section of the'Grand Chinese Dictionary'",the definition of"gui"(鬼)as simply a ghost is insufficient.It should be explained as a dream-interpreting shaman,using dreams for divination and epidemic prevention.
