On the Modern Value and Inheritance Path of the"Five Constant Virtues"
The"Five Constant Virtues",namely benevolence,righteousness,courtesy,wisdom,and faithfulness,are the moral forms of traditional Chinese culture.This paper analyzes the connotation of"Five Constant Virtues"from five aspects:"benevolence","righteousness","courtesy","wisdom",and"faithfulness";The value implication of the"Five Constant Virtues"is the integrity culture of"sweep before one's own door",the belief sense of individual benevolence,the ideal and long-cher-ished wish of"When the great way prevails,the whole world is one community",the moral sense of national integrity,and the national sentiment of"harmonious coexistence",as well as the sense of belonging to the national spirit;The inheritance path of the"Five Constant Virtues"is to set an example,achieve the goal of"sweep before one's own door",follow the path and uphold morality,achieve the realm of"When the great way prevails,the whole world is one community",and abandon preju-dices to jointly build a beautiful homeland of"harmony and coexistence".
