Study of the Relationship Path Between Social Support and Psychological Stress in College Students—A Case Study of Universities in Inner Mongolia
This study utilized a general situation questionnaire,a stressor scale,and a perceived social support scale to conduct an online survey,obtaining 12,670 valid responses.The research explored the influencing factors of psychological stress among different types of college students from two perspectives:personal characteristics and social support.The results i-dentified academic,employment,and economic pressures as the main sources of psychological stress among college students.Factors such as the type of school,type of major,year of study,place of origin,whether the student has taken psychiatric medication,whether they come from a single-parent family,and whether they have received financial aid significantly affect the psychological stress levels of college students.The study found a significant negative correlation between social support and psychological stress.These findings suggest the importance of enhancing social support and implementing social support inter-ventions to promote the mental health of college students.
