Exploration of Teaching Models for Higher Algebra Courses Based on Core Competencies——A Case Study of the Definition of Matrix Multiplication
This paper combines students'learning situations with mathematical core competencies to explore how to subtly integrate the cultivation of mathematical core competencies into every step of the mathematics classroom in higher algebra courses.Using the definition of matrix multiplication as an example, the course content is explained in segmented blocks to reduce the difficulty of the knowledge. The teaching method effectively combines the students'learning situations with the knowledge explanation, conducts modular training according to the characteristics of different students, sets different evaluation standards, and uses students'competitive psychology to stimulate their enthusiasm and initiative in learning. This approach not only helps students understand the basic concepts of matrix multiplication and master fundamental computational skills but also enhances their awareness of mathematical applications and their ability to actively explore and grasp the essence of mathematical problems.
