Image schemas are crucial in the construction and comprehension of metaphors.This article,based on the BCC corpus,takes marked typical bei-construction sentences as the research object.It uses image schema and metaphor theo-ry to provide new insights and interpretations of bei-construction sentences from the perspectives of the relationship between metaphors,image schemas,and bei-construction sentences,and from the container schema,spatial schema,and link schema in bei-construction sentences.
