Application of progressive resistance exercise training in patients underwent robot-assisted radical prostatectomy
Objective:To explore the application effect of progressive resistance exercise training in patients underwent robot-assisted radical prostatectomy(RARP).Methods:82 patients who underwent RARP in the First Affiliated Hospital of Air Force Medical University from June 2020 to June 2023 were selected.Based on the time of admission, patients who were admitted in the hospital from June 2020 to December 2021 were divided into the control group, and patients from January 2022 to June 2023 were divided into the experimental group, with 41 cases in each group. The control group received routine exercise training, while the experimental group received progressive resistance exercise training. The surgical indicators, pain level, activity after being discharged, complications and total incidence rate of patients in the two groups were compared. Results:Compared with the control group, the first feeding time, first exhaust time, first ambulation, and postoperative hospitalization time in the experimental group were significantly lower(P<0.05).The pain levels of patients at 6 h,12 h and 24 h after surgery in the experimental group were significantly lower than those in the control group(P<0.05).The sphincter control ability,self-care ability, transfer, locomotion, communication, social cognition, and total score of patients in the experimental group were significantly higher than those in the control group(P<0.05).The total incidence of complications in the experimental group was 9.76%(4/41),which was significantly lower than that in the control group of 31.71%(13/41)(P<0.05).Conclusion:The application of progressive resistance exercise training in patients underwent RARP could achieve good effects.
