教育视角下的数字基础设施建设与农村居民收入
Digital Infrastructure Development and Rural Household Income from an Educational Perspective

作为信息时代的发展基石,数字基础设施建设成为弥补"数字鸿沟"、提升农村居民收入的新契机.本文基于中国家庭追踪调查(CFPS)2014-2020 年四期构建面板数据与省级数据匹配,采用双向固定效应模型进行实证检验.结果表明,数字基础设施建设能显著促进农村居民收入的提升;机制分析表明,改善农村居民教育观念与促进其教育投资是数字基础设施建设影响农村居民收入的重要渠道;从个体异质性分析来看,数字基础设施建设对提升农村男性与农村青年群体工作收入水平的作用更大;从地区异质性分析来看,数字基础设施建设对经济发达地区与经济欠发达地区的农村居民收入均有显著促进作用,但对经济欠发达地区的影响更大.本文研究结论为加大农村地区数字基础设施建设、促进农村居民收入提升提供了政策启示.
Abstract
As the cornerstone of development in the information era,digital infrastructure construction presents a new opportunity to bridge the"digital divide"and enhance rural household income.This study utilizes panel data from the China Family Panel Studies(CFPS)spanning four waves from 2014 to 2020,matched with provincial-level data,and conducts an empirical analysis using a two-way fixed effects model.The results indicate that digital infrastructure development significantly promotes rural household income.Mechanism analysis reveals that improving rural residents'educational attitudes and encouraging their educational investment are critical channels through which digital infrastructure affects income.From the perspective of individual heterogeneity,digital infrastructure has a greater impact on increasing the income levels of rural males and rural youth.Regional heterogeneity analysis shows that while digital infrastructure construction significantly boosts rural household income in both economically developed and underdeveloped regions,the effect is more pronounced in economically underdeveloped areas.These findings provide policy implications for enhancing digital infrastructure in rural areas to promote rural household income growth.
