The urban-rural integrated development is not only the internal requirement for achieving common prosperity, but also an important way to promote high-quality development and achieve Chinese path to modernization.Based on panel data at the city level in the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region, the paper constructed econometric model to deeply explore the driving effect of the digital economy on urban-rural integrated development. The following conclusions were drawn:the development of digital economy in the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region can significantly drive urban-rural integrated development;the improvement of economic development level, industrial structure optimization, and social security level can expand the positive impact of digital economy on urban-rural integrated development;the digital economy and urban-rural integrated development in the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region show a gradient decreasing trend from the center to the periphery.Due to the"siphon effect"in the Beijing-Tianjin region, the impact of the digital economy on urban-rural integrated development has a negative spatial spillover effect. However, overall,it still significantly promotes urban-rural integrated development.
