Analysis on the Effect of Enterprise Innovation Driven by Digital Economy in Fujian Province
Digital economy is gradually becoming a powerful engine for enterprise innovation.This paper matches the comprehensive development index of digital economy of nine cities in Fujian Province with the data of listed companies in the region from 2000 to 2022,and empirically examines whether the development of digital economy in Fujian Province has an incentive effect on enterprise innovation in the region and its mechanism of action.It is found that the digital economy helps to improve the quality and increase the quantity of enterprise innovation in Fujian Province.Heterogeneity analysis reveals that the positive innovation spillover effect of digital economy is more obvious in the region of Fuzhou,Xiamen and Quanzhou,and among state-owned enterprises.The analysis of its mechanism shows that the digital economy can indirectly promote enterprise innovation by alleviating the financing constraints and reducing the agency costs of enterprises in the region.
