Diagnosis and Treatment of Grounding Faults in Transformer Cores
The iron core is one of the main components of a transformer, which is the magnetic circuit part of the transformer, mainly composed of silicon steel sheets and clamping devices. In order to avoid the generation of floating potential in operating transformers, the iron core must have a reliable grounding point. However, during the operation of transformers, due to foreign objects in the oil tank, displacement of the iron core, and other reasons, two or more grounding points may occur, resulting in circulating currents and heating of the iron core.In severe cases,it may also cause the gas relay to act, leading to transformer tripping accidents. The article studies the diagnosis and treatment methods of grounding faults in transformer cores,in order to provide reference for ensuring the reliable operation of transformers.
