Genetic types and indicative significance of magnetite in the Meixian lead-zinc ore field,Fujian Province
Meixian lead-zinc ore field is a large lead-zinc ore collection area in central Fujian Province, and its metallogenic age and genetic type are still controversial.Magnetite is commonly developed in Meixian lead-zinc ore.Based on composition characteristics of magnetite component with EPMA,the genetic type and ore-forming process are further discussed.Three stages of magnetite in lead-zinc ore are identified, and contents of main elements and trace elements from magnetite in different stages are obviously different.Chemical properties of trace elements indicate that magnetite of the first stage falls into exhalative-sedimentary type, and magnetite of the second stage and third stage fall into skarn type.Genetic types of magnetite at different stages show the characteristic of multiple phases of mag-matic activity and mineralization in the Meixian ore field.
